Section 1Who we are
Acquisitiehelper is a general partnership (vennootschap onder firma) located at Amstelplein 54, 1096 BC Amsterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 96179724. We are the controller for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy policy.

Section 2Who this policy covers
This privacy policy applies to everyone whose personal data we process, namely:
- visitors to our website;
- people who contact us or book an intro call;
- contacts at our clients;
- business contacts we approach on behalf of our clients (prospects);
- job applicants.
Section 3What data we process and why
Website visitors
We process technical data such as your IP address, browser, pages visited and the time of your visit. Based on the IP address we can identify which organisation a visit belongs to. We do this to improve our website and to see which organisations are interested in our services. We identify organisations, not individuals. For cookieless statistics we rely on our legitimate interest. For visitor identification and other non-essential cookies we ask for your consent first.
Contact and intro calls
When you fill in a form, email or call us, or book an intro call, we process your name, company name, role, email address, phone number, your message and the time of the meeting. We use this data to answer your question and prepare the conversation. Legal basis: our legitimate interest and taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
Clients
For contacts at our clients we process name, role, contact details, appointments, correspondence and billing details. This is necessary to perform the agreement and to comply with legal obligations, such as the tax retention requirement.
Prospects
We approach business decision-makers on behalf of our clients for a business conversation. For this we process name, role, employer, business email address, business phone number, LinkedIn profile and notes from our conversations. We obtain this data from public sources, LinkedIn, business data sources and enrichment tools, or receive it from our client. Legal basis: the legitimate interest of us and our clients in building business relationships. We only approach you in your professional capacity and with a proposition relevant to your role.
Prefer not to be contacted? Let us know. We will stop immediately and add your details to our blacklist, so we will not contact you again in the future.
Job applicants
When you apply, we process your CV, cover letter, contact details and interview notes. We only use this data for the application process.
Section 4How long we keep data
We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purpose for which we collect it:
| Data | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Website visits and visitor identification | Up to 12 months |
| Contact requests and intro calls | Up to 2 years after the last contact |
| Prospects | Up to 2 years after the last contact, unless you object |
| Blacklist after an objection | As long as needed to ensure we do not contact you again |
| Clients and invoices | 7 years, under the Dutch tax retention requirement |
| Job applicants | 4 weeks after the process ends, or 1 year with your consent |
At the end of an engagement we return or delete the data we process for a client, as set out in our general terms and conditions.
Section 5Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We only share data when necessary:
- With our clients: when we book a meeting for you, we share your name, role, contact details and the context of the conversation with the client you are meeting.
- With service providers that process data for us: such as our website hosting, scheduling, CRM systems, data and enrichment tools, email and accounting. Where required, we sign a data processing agreement with these parties.
- When required by law.
Some service providers are located outside the European Economic Area. In that case we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Section 6Cookies and visitor analytics
Our website uses:
- Essential cookies, which are needed for the website to work properly. No consent is required for these.
- Statistics, to see how the website is used. Wherever possible we do this without cookies and without identifying you personally.
- Company-level visitor identification, which shows us which organisations visit our website. We only enable this with your consent.
You choose which cookies you accept via the cookie banner, and you can change that choice at any time.
Section 7Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unlawful use. Only staff who need the data for their work have access to it.
Section 8Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict the processing;
- data portability;
- object to the processing, including being contacted for business purposes;
- withdraw consent you have given.
Send your request to david@acquisitiehelper.nl. We respond within one month. Not satisfied with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Section 9Changes
We may update this privacy policy, for example when we start using new services or tools. The latest version is always on this page.
